Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan (or 9-inch cake pan) with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl and stir until the cake batter has no visible dry clumps remaining. Pour the batter into the pan and top with sliced almonds.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool for 15 minutes in the pan, then remove. Let the cake cool completely.
  • Optional: garnish with a dusting of powdered sugar.
