Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (washed, trimmed, and sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Maple syrup or honey (to taste)

Instructions
 

  • Add strawberries and lemon juice to a saucepan over medium-high heat and cook until the berries start to break down and the mixture is bubbling. You can use the fork or potato masher to mash the berries.
  • Stir in the chia seeds. Then taste, and add maple syrup or honey.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to allow the jam to thicken, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to one week.
