Puff Pastry Breakfast Tart

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 7 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese (finely shredded)
  • ¼ cup red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chives (chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: chives for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400F and line a large baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Prepare and roll out the puff pastry into a 10×15-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to the prepared baking pan.
  • Use a knife to gently score a 1-inch border around the pastry dough with shallow cuts (do not cut through the pastry).
  • Inside the scored border, lightly poke holes all over the pastry dough with a fork (do not poke through the dough).
  • Sprinkle white cheddar cheese evenly over the pastry inside the border and top with chopped bell pepper and chives.
  • In q small bowl, beat one egg with a fork. Brush the egg wash over the border on all sides. Scatter everything bagel seasoning all around the border.
  • Bake 10 minutes.
  • Take the pan out of the oven and crack 6 eggs inside the border and season with salt and black pepper. Bake for additional 9-13 minutes (until done to your liking).
  • Garnish with chives, slice into 6 pieces, and serve immediately.
