Air Fryer Cod

This Air Fryer Cod is the absolute best way to cook perfect fish every time! The Cod is seasoned with a quick, flavorful spice rub and it’s tender and flaky in the middle.

This flakey and tender Air Fryer Cod recipe is perfect for making cod without breading. When you need dinner on the table fast, you can have this healthy and tasty fish recipe ready in 15 minutes or less and it can be served with absolutely any side for the perfect meal!

Ingredients Needed:

Cod: you need about one pound of Atlantic Cod cut into 2 filets for this recipe. It is best to purchase fresh, wild caught fish whenever possible. If you can’t find fresh filets, look in the freezer section for frozen cod. It will need to be thawed out completely before air frying.
Olive Oil: I like to coat the fish with olive oil before air frying to add moisture and help the seasonings stick. 
Spice Rub: I like to use a homemade spice rub with a mixture of garlic powder, chili pepper, dry parsley, salt and pepper.

Air Fryer Cod

Once you learn to cook cod in an air fryer, you will never cook it any other way! It is easy, delicious, and dinner will be on the table in less than 15 minutes!

  • 2 filets Atlantic cod
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning blend:

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
  • teaspoon ground black pepper (or to taste)


  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (if yours has a preheat option)!
  • Rub each fillet with olive oil and season with the seasoning blend.
  • Place the cod in the air fryer and air fry at 400˚F for 6-9 minutes, this will depend on the thickness of the fish and may vary between air fryers.
  • Open basket and check with a fork. If needed, return the cod for another 1 or 2 minutes.
