Classic Deviled Eggs are perfect for the holidays, Easter, potlucks, parties and all kinds of gatherings.
They’re easy to make, only have a handful of ingredients and most people love them!
Classic Deviled Eggs
Deviled eggs are the ultimate classic appetizer and finger food.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ½ tablespoon prepared Dijon mustard (coarse ground)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Finely chopped green onions or chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan, cover with water and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to cool completely, then peel them.
- Slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks. Set whites aside.
- Mash yolks with a fork in a small bowl. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff or pipe egg yolk mixture into egg whites.
- Sprinkle with green onions or chives. Refrigerate until serving.
