How to make this Recipe:

  1. Prepare pastry and Brie

Thaw the puff pastry according to package directions. Place the Brie in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Spray a 24-well mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. On a floured surface, roll the sheet of puff pastry into a 10-by-15-inch rectangle. Cut the pastry into 4 strips lengthwise. Then, cut the pastry crosswise into 6 strips. You will have 24 squares total.

Cut the Brie into 24 slices. Place one piece of Brie in the center of each pastry square. Top each with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.

  4. Bake

Bake for 13 – 15 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes.

  5. Enjoy

Remove the bites from the pan and enjoy.

Common Questions

Can I make these in advance?

Prepare the bites up to the point of baking, cover them with plastic wrap, and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When ready, bake directly from the fridge, adding a few minutes to the baking time.

What type of brie is best for these bites?

Any brie cheese will work well, but firmer brie (less ripe) is easier to cube and handle. Double or triple cream brie will give a rich, creamy texture when melted.

Can I use something other than cranberry sauce?

Yes! You can use other jams or sauces like fig, apricot, or raspberry for a similar sweet-tart flavor.

How do I store leftovers?

Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 5-10 minutes to crisp up the pastry.
