Rice vinegar can also be added, but I didn’t use it for this recipe.

How to make Tuna Fried Rice

1. First, heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Once hot, add in cooled rice. Stir fry for about 2 minutes. Next, in the center of the skillet, make a large well. Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Once hot, add onion, garlic, and carrots, stir fry in the center of the pan for 1 minute, then mix with the rice to combine.

2. Make another large well in the center and pour in beaten eggs. Allow it to sit for about 30 seconds, then gradually stir to create small scrambled egg pieces, stir to combine with the rice.

3. Add in soy sauce and fish sauce, stir to combine. Add tuna and peas, stir and cook until warmed through, about 2 minutes. Finally, taste and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Tuna Fried Rice in a pan

This canned tuna fried rice recipe is delicious, very easy, and tasty! You’d be surprised at how satisfying a plate of tuna and egg fried rice is. Fried rice is a staple dish among Asian cuisine and makes the perfect main dishes.

Cooling fried tuna rice before storing is important to keep it fresh. Store in an airtight container. To re heat, I like to use an air fryer: transfer cold fried rice to an air fryer safe dish, sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons water and then cook at 350 degrees for few minutes, until warmed through. Cooking time will depend on the amount of rice.
