Watermelon Feta Salad

Watermelon Feta Salad

This Watermelon Feta Salad has sweet melon paired with briny feta, fresh mint, red onion and baby kale. It makes the perfect side dish for any summer gathering!

Watermelon is probably one of my favorite thing about summer. I love eating it plain, cut up in cubes, or in a salad. The texture is crisp and juicy, which makes it a perfect choice for hot summer days.

Watermelon is believed to have originated in Africa, and it has been cultivated for thousands of years. There are many different varieties of watermelon, ranging in size, shape, and color.

When selecting a watermelon, look for one that feels heavy for its size and has a dull skin rather than a shiny appearance. A hollow sound when tapped can indicate ripeness. And, as with most fruits, avoid choosing a melon with dents, cuts, or bruises.

Watermelon has a host of health benefit. You might assume it’s mostly sugar and water. But once you dig in you’ll be surprised how many potential health benefits it has. Read about health benefits of the watermelon: “The Top 9 Health Benefits of Watermelon”.

This easy Watermelon Feta Salad is ideal for eating outside under the warm sun. Watermelon and mint are refreshing and flavorful, while briny feta and onions offer savory counterpoints.
