    Mash cottage cheese, egg, salt and sugar with a fork. Add flour and mix well. Transfer the dough to a floured board.

  2. Roll and cut

    Roll out strings of dough and cut them into about 1-inch pieces.

  3. Boil

    In a saucepan, boil water and add salt. Boil the dumplings in batches, stir occasionally. After the dumplings float, cook them for 1 – 2 minutes.

  4. Serve and enjoy

    Remove the dumplings from the water using a slotted spoon. Serve cottage cheese dumplings hot with sour cream, butter, and/or fruit.
